The Melt is my must-visit every time I'm in San Francisco! I haven’t found anything as good back in NJ! This time, I tried the Oakland branch and went for the steak and cheese melt, patty melt, and Sicilian chicken melt. Each was delicious with big portions, and the staff was quick and friendly. The melts are just perfect, and it’s a real ‘bae’ spot for anyone who loves classic grilled cheese with a twist. I’d love to see you guys in NJ or NY – please bring The Melt over here!
First and foremost, Gabby was AMAZING! My best friend and I came in to get a quick bite before exploring some of Oakland’s museums and she greeted us with a huge smile right upon entry! I could tell that she was busy, so I was going to use the kiosk, but she made sure we knew that she was happy to help us and take our order. I felt no rush or haste to order and she answered my questions so patiently! It’s like she’s worked here forever- incredibly efficient, friendly, and positive. The food was so delicious and the music was bumpin’! I’m so happy we started our day off in Oakland here. I highly recommend!
Incredible service, the manager made sure to let us know the food would take a bit because they made fresh fries to make sure they were hot on a cold day! Really nice staff and super helpful!! 💕
After a long day of moving my daughter for college, this place was a godsend! They’re open late and they allow for online orders, which was perfect for us while coming back to our AirBnB in Oakland after a long day and night. We tried their grilled cheese sandwich and fried chicken sandwich, with sweet potato fries and homemade lemonade. Everything was perfect! I can appreciate a good grilled cheese, and this had all of the key ingredients: great bread, good cheeses, and the option to add things like bacon, jalapenos, and even Mac and cheese! The fries were perfectly prepared. Great spot for some really good comfort food for a very reasonable price!
I try to go here when I'm in downtown Oakland and they never disappoint me. The staff was awesome and friendly and the food is always amazing!
I just wanted to take a moment to send some major kudos to this establishment. Honestly, every single experience I've had with the food, whether I'm dining in or getting it delivered through Uber Eats or Postmates, has been absolutely phenomenal. You guys consistently on point! The flavors & presentation is lovely, and every component just tastes incredibly fresh and well-prepared. It's truly delicious across the board. This place holds a special spot for me – I even relied on your amazing food during my pregnancy, and now I bring my husband and our six-month-old in her stroller to enjoy it. It's just that good, and I always feel confident recommending it. I also have to give a huge shout-out to your incredible staff. I can only imagine how hectic it gets, especially with so many pickup orders flying in, but they always handle the rush and chaos with such grace and efficiency. Their dedication really shines through, and as a frequent customer, I genuinely appreciate their hard work in the kitchen and out front. My only regret is that I'm usually so busy devouring my meal the moment it arrives that I completely forget to snap any pictures! But trust me, it's a testament to how fantastic everything tastes.
Food was really good and prices are great for the amount you get as well as it was ready in less than 10 minutes and costumer service was even better, with the help of Tisha this was the best experience ever and she truly is an amazing employee with good vibes and just made sure you were enjoying your visit. Absolutely delicious food and great friendly service! I got the Mac and cheese melt with extra bacon as well as the garlic Parmesan fries, snickerdoodle shake and raspberry seltzer water. I’ve never tried a snickerdoodle shake and that was delicious!
We had a wonderful experience with Tisha here at the Melt. She gave great suggestions and the food was great. Tisha is one of the nicest host ive come across and would absolutely Come back JUST for her. She is amazing! She needs a raise!
Just touched down in San Francisco and passed by this place! Have already been here twice for their meltburger! Love the pickle and jalapeño mix. Service is always quick and easy..staff was helpful and friendly. Food comes out fresh and hot. A very chill spot..with great people watching from every way!
